Public consultation on this document took place between June and September 2013. However, this document was not submitted to the Government for public examination because the Council took the decision in December 2013 to produce an entirely new Local Plan.
The emerging Draft Local Plan (the ‘Sheffield Plan’) will include a review of the Core Strategy and will incorporate elements of the City Policies and Sites document.
Draft proposals map
The Draft Proposals Map, which was published alongside the Draft City Policies and Sites document in 2013 shows that Council’s thinking on the spatial development of the city at that time. Although the City Policies and Sites document have not been formally withdrawn, they have not been subject to public examination and therefore carry very limited weight when deciding planning applications.
