School budget statements
We’re required by law to prepare a schools’ budget statement each financial year (section 251 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009). The statement gives a comprehensive picture of our planned expenditure for each financial year, including:
- how much of the education budget we intend to spend on items outside the Schools Budget
- how much we’re proposing to retain centrally to spend on school-related services
- how delegated Budget Shares for each individual school are calculated
We’ve provided downloadable versions of 2016-17 and 2015-16 budget statements.
School Outturn Statements (Section 251)
Section 251 of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 also requires us to prepare an Outturn Statement recording actual expenditure. We’ve provided these as downloadable documents for 2015-16 and 2014-15.
