The Governing Body of Tankersley St Peter’s C.E. Primary School are seeking a highly committed, enthusiastic teacher to join our wonderful team.  We are a successful and inclusive primary school with high expectations and take pride in our ability to meet a wide range of learning needs. We are looking for a teacher who is committed and has the passion for raising expectations and the skills to drive improvement maintaining our high standards.

We are a friendly village community school on the border of Sheffield and Barnsley and easily accessible from the M1.  We have well behaved pupils who are enthusiastic, thoughtful and keen learners; as well as a highly motivated, committed and supportive staff team.  

We were recently graded Good by OFSTED in July 2023 and Outstanding in our SIAMS inspection.

We are looking for a teacher who is:
•    An exemplary classroom practitioner who will model outstanding practice
•    Committed to high standards of attainment, progress and behaviour
•    Creative, forward thinking and inspired to motivate children to achieve their full potential
•    Able to work creatively and effectively with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to drive school improvement
•    Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and works well as part of team
•    Has the commitment required to work in partnership with parents/carers and the wider school community
