Board games at the library

You’ll find a wide range of games that are free to play for members at the board games collection in the Central Library. Board gaming is a fun and sociable way to spend time with family and friends.

Games aimed at adults and young people are available to play in the Central Library or to borrow to play at home. Adult members can borrow a game free of charge for up to three weeks.

The Central Children’s Library has a games collection suitable for younger children which can be played in the library.

Events

Regular Board Game Nights are held monthly in the Central Library. If you're new to board games and want to learn how to play, or you want to meet fellow board game enthusiasts, come along.

Our friendly game librarians are on hand to teach you the rules. Adults of all ages are welcome to join us for an evening of laughter, strategy, and camaraderie.

Bring a group

If you work with a group that would enjoy visiting the library to play board games, contact the Central Library. We can arrange a suitable time and advise on the best games for your group’s needs.
