Coronavirus

Access is restricted to Sheffield residents only. The number of vehicles allowed on site at any time is limited and visits should only be made if waste disposal is essential and unavoidable.

You must observe Government instruction on social distancing. If large numbers of people visit the sites or fail to follow the guidelines we will be forced to close.

You cannot take business waste to our household waste recycling centres.

Visiting a Household waste recycling centre

  • we recommend that you try to time your visit until after 11am on weekdays to avoid the busiest periods. Weekends and Bank Holidays can be very busy and so you may experience delays
  • please follow the instructions of the site supervisors who will direct you to the correct container for your waste
  • if you need any assistance, please ask one of the site staff who will be able to help
  • materials brought to site will be sent for re-use or recycling wherever possible
  • there are height barriers (1.8m/5'11") at all sites

CCTV operates at these bring sites to monitor misuse for potential enforcement purposes.
