Family Hub Network Grants

The Family Hub Network helps connect community partners with Family Hub services. Free training is available to help staff and volunteers understand what services are offered and how to guide families to the right support early on.

Available grants

The Family Hub Network grants include the Volunteer Grant and the Community Chest Grant.

Volunteer Grant

The Volunteer Grant enables organisations to help develop volunteers. These volunteers will support families and assist them in starting a great life.

Successful applicants will:

  • recruit and host volunteers
  • induct and supervise volunteers
  • provide training (including safeguarding)
  • attend free Early Help training
  • risk assess and support Family Hub Network volunteers

Organisations under this grant must become a Family Hub Network Member. Staff and volunteers will promote the Family Hub and Start for Life services during community-based activities, engaging parents and carers through children’s play.

Community Chest Grant

  • sensory items
  • nursing chairs
  • early years learning tools
  • resources for children with special educational
  • needs and/or disabilities

Organisations must become Family Hub Network Members and attend free Early Help training. This helps them understand available services and how to register and guide families to the right support.
