Sheffield Central Riverside is an area immediately to the north of the city centre core and straddling the Inner Relief Road North and the River Don.
The area is also the point where 3 large regeneration initiatives overlap:
- City Centre Master plan
- South Yorkshire Technology Corridor (comprising of the Upper Don Valley, Lower Don Valley, Central Riverside and Sheffield Airport Business Park)
- Housing Market Renewal Regional Pathfinder
The 12 May 2004 Cabinet report mentions a study by Gillespies of the Scotland Street and Shalesmoor Area.
