The Neighbourhood Development Framework (NDF) area for the City Road corridor extends from Park Square roundabout in the city centre up to, and including, Manor Top. This forms part of the South Sheffield Housing Market Renewal (HMR) programme.
The City Road NDF was developed by EDAW consultants and approved and adopted as a material consideration by Cabinet in October 2007. The report will help to guide physical changes and public investment in the area over the next 10 years.
The vision for the area is to make it more of a ‘destination’ rather than a place to simply ‘pass through’. The projects proposed within the NDF aim to balance the needs of the area as a hub of movement with the need to establish effective ‘hubs of activity’ to create a lively and characterful area.
