Children's summer library activities

This summer we have a wide range of free activities for children across all Council libraries.

All activities must be booked through the library, unless stated otherwise. Please make sure that children are accompanied by a responsible adult.

Summer reading challenge

We're also inviting families to discover the joy of reading through this year's Summer Reading Challenge. Explore the magical connection between storytelling and the natural world with this years theme: Story Garden.

All that children have to do is read six books of their choice over the summer holidays. Everyone who completes the challenge will receive a medal and a certificate. Simply pop into your local library to sign up to the Summer Reading Challenge.
