Transport forums

If you have an interest in an aspect of transport, why not take part in a transport forum that we organise?  You might have a related profession, be part of a related interest group or just be someone with a keen interest.

These 3 forums are groups of people who meet regularly to discuss how to change travel for the better.

Cycle Forum

The Cycle Forum discusses issues, shares information and makes recommendations about how cycling can be improved and promoted.

The Cycle Forum is now running online via Microsoft Teams and will be for the foreseeable future. If you would like to join one of the meetings, get in touch and we will send you the meeting link ahead of time.

Next Forum dates (all at 5pm):

  • 14 March
  • 20 June
  • 15 August
  • 17 October

Membership and attendance

Organisations invited to attend include those from the Health and Education sectors, cycle interest groups, transport operators and promoters, major trip-generators and potential partnership organisations.

Membership is limited to representatives of each of the invited organisations, at the discretion of the Chair (a maximum of two representatives per organisation and ratified by the Forum).

Public questions and points of view can be raised in Matters Arising if relevant and in Any Other Business. Members of the public may attend as observers for the whole meeting.

You can view and download the notes from the recent meetings below. Get in touch if you need to request any Cycle Forum notes from the last five years.

Walking Forum

The Walking Forum promotes walking for everyone, by reducing barriers and achieving a better walking environment. This includes discussing and recommending ways to increase walking for everyday journeys.

The Walking Forum meets quarterly. You can view and download the meeting minutes. For further information or if you would like to take part please contact us.

Next Walking Forum meeting:

Transport 4 All

Transport 4 All is a city-wide pan-disability group of disabled transport users that meets quarterly with ourselves, South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive and public transport operators in the city.

The group advises on how to improve access to transport services for disabled people and move towards equal access. You can view and download our meeting minutes.
