Money management recognised providers

The money management list shares approved providers of financial or budget planning who can help people receiving direct payments to manage their money.

We set up, monitor and update the money management list as part of the recognised provider list. To gain money management status and use our quality mark, providers must meet our minimum quality standards and follow a clear quality framework.

Apply to be a recognised provider

If you are a money management company that provides budget or financial management to people who receive direct payments in Sheffield, you can apply to be a recognised provider and appear on our money management list. This does not include payroll or PA support services.

You do not need to be based in Sheffield, but you should be providing services to clients here or be prepared to do so.

You can apply to be on the list at any time, but we assess applications is 2 periods:

  • applications received from 1 December to 31 May will be evaluated between June and August and we will let you know the outcome by 1 September
  • applications received from 1 June to 30 November will be evaluated between December and February and we will let you know the outcome by 1 March

Once you have read the guidance and you are sure you meet the eligibility criteria you can download and complete the application form. Please answer all the questions on the form, incomplete applications will not be considered.
