Help your community in winter

During winter we encourage you to do what you can to help your community. You can visit an elderly or vulnerable neighbour to check that they have food, drink and offer any other help. You could also clear local pavements so that others can use them safely.

The Good Neighbourhood postcard allows you to add your details with what you can offer to an elderly or vulnerable neighbour during periods of bad weather. Even having a chat can lift the spirits of someone feeling isolated by weather.

You can print out copies of the postcards or look out for them in community venues, libraries and GP surgeries across the city.

Homeless support

Overnight accommodation is offered to anyone who would be sleeping rough during times of extremely cold weather.
