All schools should offer a milk drink to pupils as part of the national School Food Standards.
We provide a school milk service for early years and primary school children in Sheffield. Drinking milk can be purchased in all secondary schools.
Early years children under 5 years old
- school milk is free up to their 5th birthday
Primary school children aged 5 to 11 years old
- school milk can be purchased at a cost of 23p for a 1/3 pint (189 ml) carton of semi-skimmed milk
- children who receive a free school meal are also entitled to free school milk

We offer semi-skimmed milk only, as directed by Government.
We cannot provide other types of milk such as soya milk, but your school can arrange this separately for you.
