Which dogs are dangerous

Under the 1991 Dangerous Dogs Act, Pit Bull Terriers have been identified as a dangerous breed. There are other breeds, but they aren’t currently known to be in the country. If you have a Pit Bull, you have to register it. If you don’t we can seize it and a court will decide what happens next.

We can also seize other dogs if they pose any kind of threat people. The courts will decide what action will be taken.
