This policy is designed to cover situations where people in domiciliary care, shared lives, supported living, day services and Short Breaks are unable to administer their own medication and require assistance with medication from Care Workers.
The Sheffield Medication Policy complies with the requirements of Care Quality Commission (CQC), the organisation which regulates Service Providers and checks their compliance with this Policy. The Policy also meets NICE Guidance NG67 “Managing medicines for adults receiving social care in the community”.
