We carry out Citizenship Ceremonies for anyone who was granted British Citizenship after 1 January 2004.
Ceremonies are held in the Town Hall (main entrance) on a weekly basis.
A civic dignitary, such as the Lord Mayor, the Lord Lieutenant of the County or the High Sheriff will give a welcoming speech and will present you with a Naturalisation Certificate.
The ceremony ends with photographs and refreshments.
If you are unable to attend the ceremony on the dates we have available, you can book a private citizenship ceremony, the fee is £75.00 weekdays, £100.00 Saturdays, children accompanied by an adult are free.
