If you are getting married in Sheffield or forming a civil partnership, whether in the Town Hall or elsewhere, you need to book registrars to conduct the ceremony.
Our registrars will perform a ceremony that will be memorable and personal. You can add vows or readings. Your ceremony can be formal, flamboyant, sophisticated or even a singalong – it can be tailored to your individual wishes.
You do not need to have a celebrant at your ceremony. This is a personal choice.
At the end of your ceremony with us, you will be legally married.
You can provisionally book a registrar up to 2 years ahead of the ceremony, but it's your responsibility to contact the venue to check their availability.
Fees
- Monday to Friday: £482
- Saturday and Sunday: £550
- Bank Holiday: £690
There will be a non-refundable booking fee of £60 to secure a date and time (this is additional to any other fees).
Certificates
Marriage and civil partnership certificates cost £11 at the point of registration. Your certificate will be sent out within 5 working days of receiving your marriage or civil partnership schedule. Copies of certificates can be bought after for £12 each.
