Registers of baptism (not births), marriages and burials (not deaths) taking place in Roman Catholic churches between late 18th century to the 21st century.

Not all archive material is stored onsite and we may require notice of the items you wish to see. Please contact us to confirm when we can retrieve items for you.

Background information

The majority of the population attended the Church of England; however a significant proportion attended Roman Catholic churches. Many also attended Methodist and other non-conformist chapels.

Format

Many of the pre-1925 registers are only available on microfilm. Post 1925 are usually original volumes.
