To celebrate some of the city’s greatest achievers, Sheffield City Council is proposing to relaunch the Sheffield Legends – the city’s walk of fame honouring individuals who have achieved national or international acclaim.
A new, five-year housing strategy has been approved that will enable older residents across Sheffield to live in safe, comfortable and accessible homes for longer with the support they need.
A brand new approach to housing those who most need short-term support has been approved – which will also help tackle the spiralling costs associated with temporary accommodation.
The Council’s ‘Living the life you want to live’ Adult Care Strategy, including its performance and delivery in keeping people well and independent for longer at home will be discussed at Adult Health and Social Care Committee this week.
