To celebrate some of the city’s greatest achievers, Sheffield City Council is proposing to relaunch the Sheffield Legends – the city’s walk of fame honouring individuals who have achieved national or international acclaim.
Sheffield City Council has been shortlisted for the Most Improved Council of the Year category at the 2025 Local Government Chronicle (LGC) Awards — a recognition that highlights the Council’s transformational journey and renewed commitment to serving the people of Sheffield.
They are some of the city’s best known and much-loved areas, valued for their character and appearance which are given protection through the planning process.
Sheffield City Council’s administration for 2025/2026 will be formed of a collaboration between Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party for a third year running.
