Report a care related emergency

If you find yourself or someone else in a crisis situation, there are a number of services that can help you.

If someone is in immediate danger

Call 999 and ask for the police.

If you can’t speak, press 55 when prompted. This tells the operator it's an emergency and your call will be transferred to the police. If you stay silent and don't press 55, the call will end.

Mental health crisis

If you're already getting support from Adult Social Care

Contact your allocated worker or team during office hours.

If it's out of hours

Call NHS 111 and choose the mental health option.

If your carer can't help

If your carer is suddenly unavailable and no one else can support you, we can arrange an urgent review to help.

In this case, you can contact your allocated social care worker or their team to organise this.

If you don't have an allocated worker, you can call Adult Social Care on 0114 273 4908 (available 24/7).
