It’s a building which has stood in Sheffield city centre for well over a century and now the former Salvation Army Citadel has been acquired by Sheffield City Council.
Structural engineers have confirmed that scaffolding, which is currently propping up the roof on the Rose Garden Café in Graves Park, can now be removed.
Work has started on site for a brand-new café, with attached public WC, at Sheffield’s Whirlow Brook Park, a popular beauty spot for walkers, local people and families.
A project aimed at providing more space for people, allowing businesses to expand and for people to shop, eat and spend more time in Sheffield City Centre has been given a major investment boost.
