Charging your electric vehicle in and around Sheffield may be about to get easier with a proposal for 11 new on-street and public car park charging points. Under the proposal, six new on-street locations and three car parks are to have the points installed, increasing the network by 22 bays.
In a bid to continue to improve the air quality for people in Sheffield and improve public transport, the City Council is proposing setting up a fund, worth more than £11million, to help bus operators move to electric buses, after it received approval from the new government
As the old saying goes, ‘you wait for one bus to arrive then two turn up at once’. Well Sheffield City Council can do better than that, with four electric buses set to begin service in the city centre free for passengers to use.
