Events bring millions to Sheffield’s economy, generate community pride and support the wellbeing of residents, according to a new report from Sheffield City Council that looks at the impact of events on the city, including Tramlines.
At Strategy and Resources Committee today, councillors opted to place the Fargate containers in storage while alternative community uses across the city are explored.

Sheffield City Council acquired the former cinema earlier this year as part of the Attercliffe Levelling Up project and aims to develop the much-loved building into a vibrant and cultural hub, supporting the local community and wider.
