Sheffield Council’s new administration has been formally announced today, with a collaboration between Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the Green Party.
The Council will discuss the proposed approach to the Community Buildings Policy on Wednesday March 12th. The report outlines how the Council, if approved, would introduce an interim policy for a year to enable progress on a number of Community Asset Transfers that have already been requested.
An artist has been chosen out of 14 entries to design and construct a permanent city centre Covid memorial sculpture, which will be located in Balm Green Gardens by Spring 2023.
‘Hear Our Voice’ is making significant progress on plans that support all adults with a learning disability in Sheffield, including people who have additional support needs because of a physical disability, sensory impairment or autism.
The Council’s ‘Living the life you want to live’ Adult Care Strategy, including its performance and delivery in keeping people well and independent for longer at home will be discussed at Adult Health and Social Care Committee this week.
An unveiling ceremony of Sheffield’s new permanent Covid Memorial sculpture took place today, led by the Leader of Sheffield City Council, Councillor Terry Fox and Lord Mayor, Councillor Sioned-Mair Richards.
