Sheffield’s carers were celebrated last night (13 February 2025) at the Sheffield Cares Excellence Awards for the care and support that they give to the people of Sheffield.
Sheffield residents who are not in work and not currently actively seeking employment are set to benefit from a £3m fund aimed at supporting them to join, or rejoin, the workforce.
A total of £400,000 of funding, split over five years, has been committed to the Compassionate Sheffield Programme, to help support the local community with their experiences of death and bereavement.
Recognition has been given to Sheffield City Council's See it Be it in Sheffield campaign, for making significant strides in advancing social mobility in the city.
As the 4th largest city in England, Sheffield is home to makers and innovators, global brands and world-leading businesses, sporting and music legends and creative, caring and passionate residents.
