One of the UK’s longest running, city-based music festivals and a highlight in Sheffield’s year-round calendar of events, is set to return this weekend.
On Thursday 17 August, a celebration event for John 'the man with the pram' Burkhill will take place at Sheffield Winter Garden, hosted by Lord Mayor Cllr Colin Ross.
Sheffield and Khmelnytskyi have been twinned since December 2022 and are coming together to celebrate Eurovision, in a show of solidarity as the United Kingdom hosts the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of last year’s winners, Ukraine.
Sheffield has stepped into a summer of events after a spring of celebrations. From football to Eurovision via gigs and food festivals, the city has had an incredibly busy month of events, with more to come during the summer.
In just over a week, stars of world cycling will return to South Yorkshire, as the third stage of Britain’s biggest professional cycle race is set to kick off in Sheffield on Thursday 5 September.
