As Tramlines returns to Hillsborough Park and the Fringe at Tramlines takes over the city centre, Sheffield is gearing up for the biggest weekend on the city’s calendar.
"We support the HS2 East partnership’s report outlining a three-phase approach to deliver improved inter-city and inter-regional connectivity, building on the Integrated Rail Plan’s proposals and at a reduced cost compared to the full eastern leg of HS2".
This weekend, Friday 9 June and Saturday 10 June, the Arctic Monkeys return to their home town of Sheffield, performing for 2 nights at Hillsborough Park. In order to support this event, a number of road closures are in place.
Sheffield has stepped into a summer of events after a spring of celebrations. From football to Eurovision via gigs and food festivals, the city has had an incredibly busy month of events, with more to come during the summer.
