Sheffield's high streets transformed into career exploration trail for young people

Sheffield's young people have been given the chance to learn about a range of career paths whilst out and about in the city centre.

Over the summer, Sheffield city centre has been transformed into a fun and interactive career trail, aiming to inspire the future workforce.

Sector Safari, part of Sheffield City Council’s See It Be It programme, is a city-wide initiative that offers young people the chance to discover diverse career opportunities available right on their doorstep.

Young participants have been able to visit mapped locations across the city centre, engage in career discussions, scan QR codes linking to job opportunities, and complete interactive challenges. The trail is free to access and open to all ages, with completer badges and booklets being given out at key city venues.

The initiative not only supports the personal and professional growth of young people, but also contributes to Sheffield’s wider ambitions to boost the economy and showcase the city as a dynamic, inclusive place to live, learn and work.

More information about Sector Safari is available on the See it Be it website.

The trail runs until the end of August.
