Sheffield Digital Inclusion Evaluation

The NHS have commissioned Attain to carry out an evaluation of Digital Inclusion in Sheffield.

We know that access to information and Digital Services is one of the biggest factors in improving peoples’ lives.

Sheffield City Council is happy to be supporting this work and working with our partners to address this issue.

The aim of this work is to give Sheffield an improved knowledge and evidence base for digital inclusion activity. This will support strategic planning of resources, community engagement work and digital transformation. The aim is to provide a full evaluation of the digital inclusion landscape across Sheffield.

This will involve working with established groups and forming focus groups of Sheffield citizens that can be used as touchpoint groups in future.

Evidence will be gathered to establish:

  • the scale of exclusion
  • the barriers to becoming digitally engaged
  • the current scope of digital inclusion activities being delivered
  • an overview of activities to inform the work programme

This will involve:

  • research and evaluation
  • stakeholder engagement
  • data analysis and landscape mapping
  • digital maturity assessments
  • an evaluation of the digital offer across a range of organisation types

This survey is one of the important tools that will shape that research. It can be completed anonymously.
