We carry out Citizenship Ceremonies for anyone who was granted British Citizenship after 1st January 2004.
All foreign nationals must attend citizenship ceremony as part of the process to become a British Citizen.

Ceremonies are held in the Town Hall every Tuesday afternoon.
A civic dignitary, such as the Lord Mayor, the Lord Lieutenant of the County or the High Sheriff gives a welcoming speech and presents the Naturalisation Certificates.
You also receive a welcome pack from the Home Office and ourselves.
The ceremony ends with photographs and refreshments.

Applicants must meet basic language qualifications and complete a Language and Life in the UK test.
If you have damaged or lost your citizenship naturalisation certificate we cannot issue you with a duplicate.
