Community Helpline

If you need urgent support coping with the rising cost of living crisis, call us immediately on 0114 273 4567. We can help to navigate through a wide range of hardship grants and support schemes.

Bereavement support

Domestic abuse, drugs and alcohol support

Sheffield DACT can offer helpline support if you are struggling with:


Food banks

  • get help with food from Foodworks, a local social enterprise
  • get help from local community hubs
  • find where food banks are in Sheffield and check they are open before visiting

Homeless or at risk of homelessness

Health positive resources

  • there are a range of services, both local and national, to support with mental health, health conditions, carers etc

Physical activity

  • staying active will benefit both your physical and mental health - whatever your age or ability 
  • try to build physical activity into your daily routine, even if you're at home

Vaccinations and Immunisations

It is important that you, your baby or child still have routine vaccinations. They:

  • protect against serious and potentially deadly illnesses 
  • stop outbreaks in the community

It is safe to go and have your vaccinations:

  • ring your GP practice to re-book if you missed an appointment due to the pandemic
  • ring our GP to reschedule if the person needing vaccination has coronavirus symptoms or is self-isolating
