Family Common Assessment Framework Resources

Working with our partners, we have developed a whole family assessment called the Family Common Assessment Framework (FCAF). The Framework enables us to assess all family members so that we can identify the right support for families and work together with other professionals to support them.

The FCAF is used across children's services, adults' services and other agencies working with families throughout the city.

Resources are available for professionals, providing guidance, tools, templates, details of training and information on other services that can help families.

Training

If you would like to take part in FCAF training please contact us for the dates. Schools can also find these dates on SchoolPoint.

Information sharing

Sharing information is key to a quality assessment and to the delivery of coordinated and effective services. It both promotes early intervention and prevention and safeguards and protects children's welfare and the wider public.
