Public Rights of Way

Sheffield is a very green city with over a third of it being within the Peak District National Park.

It offers superb opportunities for walking, cycling and horse riding and simply enjoying green spaces and open countryside.

The Public Rights of Way Group looks after public footpaths, bridleways and byways across the city, as well as large areas of access land.

Our paths are mainly rural, and are mainly sign posted from the roadside.

We suggest an Ordnance Survey Explorer map to plan a walk or get an idea of our paths and access land.
