Fly-tipping and litter

It is your responsibility to remove waste from your own land.

If there is evidence of where the waste has come from, we can investigate and, if possible, take enforcement action against those responsible for dumping it. If successful, you may be able to recover the cost of removing the waste through the courts.

We can help private landowners by giving them advice on how to secure and protect their property from fly-tippers. The Environmental Services team also offer a waste removal service for a fee.
