South Yorkshire Archaeology Service organises an Archaeology Day in November each year. The day provides a unique opportunity for people to hear about recent archaeological projects from the archaeologists involved.
A wide variety of topics are covered each year. As an example, the presentation by Shaun Richardson (EDAS Ltd), on the preparation of an evaluation strategy for the Castle Markets site (known to have been built on the site of Sheffield Castle) is available as a download at the bottom of this page.
Following on from the success of this year's event we hope to publicise the details of Archaeology Day 2016 when they are finalised in the new year.
You can receive early notification of next year's event and booking details as soon as they are finalised by joining our mailing list.
If you wish to be added to the list please contact us.
