South Yorkshire Archaeology Service organises an Archaeology Day in November each year. The day provides a unique opportunity for people to hear about recent archaeological projects from the archaeologists involved.
Archaeology Day 2013 was a great success and was enjoyed by all that attended. A download of the talk given by Shaun Richardson (EDAS Ltd), on the preparation of an evaluation strategy for the Castle Markets site - known to have been built on the site of Sheffield castle - is now available as a download at the bottom of this page.
Archaeology Day 2014 will be held on Saturday 22nd November at the Showroom Cinema, Sheffield.
Please note this years tickets have now sold out!
