The Centre runs craft courses all through the year, from cider making to work skills. Public events in the autumn and spring celebrate Sheffield's rich woodland heritage, and demonstrates the unique facilities of the Centre, as well as providing activities such as story telling, discovering nature and traditional uses of wood in the home and garden.
The Sheffield Woodlands Environment Enhancement Project (SWEEP) is based here, the Sheffield Bee-keepers, and the site is also home to a cluster of talented wood based businesses.

Craft Courses 2016
From the end of June 2015 you will be able to download The Mystery of the Factory in the Woods Audio Adventure. You will be able to listen on a smartphone whilst walking through Ecclesall Woods, or you can borrow an MP3 player from the JG Graves Discovery Centre (opening times only).
Embark on an amazing audio adventure through time, take a guided walk to discover stories of Ecclesall Woods, and learn how archaeology can teach us how to understand the past: songs, stories and incredible facts for all the family!
The Mystery of the Factory in the Woods is a partnership project between Growtheatre, University of Sheffield Archaeology Department and our Woodland Section, supported by the University of Sheffield's Arts Enterprise Fund.
