Seven Hills School is a School for young people 11 – 19 years old with special needs. All students have learning difficulties and many have associated difficulties relating to communication, sensory, physical and / or medical disabilities.

The school has a large post 16 provision based at The Bridge, which is a site on the Talbot/Newfield campus currently being developed in collaboration with Talbot School. The successful applicants will be required to work at this new site.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to undertake various cleaning duties. You should be able to relate well to young people, be able to work as part of a team working alongside other cleaners within the school. You must be flexible about working during the school holidays and your annual holiday entitlement must be taken during school holidays. 

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in class rooms, toilets, other areas around and outside the school. They will be able to:

•     Communicate effectively with other employees and management
•     Be reliable and punctual and able to use their own initiative 
•     Be aware of Health and Safety Policies 
•     Take responsibility for cleaning in a specific area whilst working to a high standard and in a safe manner 
•     Understand the needs of the school in prioritising work load A knowledge or experience of cleaning and buffing is an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided. 

The pattern of work will be 5 days per week 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm (12.5 hours per week) for 52 weeks per year. 

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to complete an Enhanced Criminal Records Disclosure form in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997.
