The future of Sheffield’s Local Plan and how it will shape the city over the next 15-20 years has progressed following the announcement of the dates for three public hearing sessions.

The latest update about setting a balanced budget for 2025/26 will be heard by councillors when they meet next week.

A new approach to how the public can submit questions for Council meetings will be introduced to make decision making more accessible.

Amendments to the Draft Local Plan in response to public consultation were endorsed by Full Council on Wednesday 6 September. The Draft Local Plan will now be put forward for consideration by a Government planning inspector.
