Woodseats Library

Woodseats Library Closure

The library closed on the 21st November as the building is being demolished to make way for a brand new library and medical centre.

During closure

  • From January 2016 there will be a weekly book collection and drop off point at Woodseats Medical Practice. 
  • Opening hours will also be extended at Ecclesall Library and Highfield Library.
  • Library members unable to travel to another branch are invited use the Home Library Service which delivers books to people’s door.
  • Our Little Library van for children will make trips to the area and visit local schools and nurseries. 
  • Hundreds of eBooks, eMagazines and eAudiobooks can also be downloaded from the eLibrary.

The eLibrary is open 24/7, borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks, and read eMagazines.

  • Councillor's Surgery - 3rd Wednesday in the month, 4.30pm to 5.30pm

  • Friday Morning Craft Group - Meets from 9.30am

  • Story time for Under 5's - Mondays 2pm to 2.45pm (waiting list)

  • Baby time

  • Reading Group - meets every third Wednesday in the month at 2-3pm.   See our Reading Room

  • Chatter books - 1st Monday in the month

  • Sheaf Advice Service - initial assessment drop-in Thursday 9.30am to 1pm

  • Basic ICT Sessions

  • Woodseats Writers' Group - fortnightly on Wednesdays 1.30pm to 2.30pm.  Ask staff for details.
