Tinsley Library

Changes to Tinsley Library

The lease on the Tinsley Library building has now come to an end and services are no longer being delivered from the Bawtry Road shopping parade.

Temporary arrangements are being made for library users, before we find a new base for a voluntary-run service.

Alternative services

Our closest library is Darnall library. If you have difficulty using an another library please try our Home Library Service.

A book drop off and pick up facility will be available at Tinsley Forum on Bawtry Road.

Additional visits will be made by the Little Library service for children.

Enjoy free eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines from the eLibrary.

Rotherham Borough Council also has a library at Brinsworth that welcomes new members from Tinsley.

Voluntary run service

Volunteers already run 15 local libraries across Sheffield. People have come forward to do this in Tinsley and we are working with them.

To get involved, please call Darrell Porter on 0114 2734254.

Tell us what you want from a volunteer library in Tinsley.

The plan for Tinsley Library was first announced in the Council’s Cabinet Report of February 2014 - ‘The Future of Sheffield’s Library Services.'
