As part of the Learning Zone, the library is now alongside a housing office , a large IT suite and a range of learning and community spaces which is managed by SOAR.

  • Wednesday: 9.30am to 12.30pm
  • Thursday: 9.30am to 5pm

It's easy to join the library; just fill in our simple online form and collect your membership card from the library of your choice and you can start borrowing.  Request your PIN to reserve online.

Events and Activities

  • Babytime - Fridays 10-11am term-time only.  Join us to share books, ryhymes, songs and toys.  For babies, toddlers, parents and carers.
  • Homework Zone - Tuesdays 3.30-5pm.  Are you struggling with your homework?  Then why not drop into the Homework Zone.  Library staff will support and suggest the best books and websites to help.
  • Basic ICT sessions - Tuesdays 10am-12noon.  Learn how to use a computer, send emails and access the internet.  Tel 0114 203 9533.
  • Councillor's Surgery - 3rd Saturday in the month 11am-12noon
  • Book Group for Adults - 1st Friday in the month 10-11am
