Sheffield Joint Health and Wellbeing Board

The Health and Wellbeing Board is a partnership between Sheffield City Council, the NHS and a range of partners in the city that aims to deliver a single approach to improving the health and wellbeing of Sheffield residents.

Board responsibilities and board members

The Health and Wellbeing Board is responsible for setting Sheffield’s strategy for improving the health and wellbeing of its citizens.  It is also responsible for agreeing and publishing a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA), which forms the main evidence base for that strategy. The JSNA looks at the health of Sheffield's population and includes a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment to aid commissioning of pharmacy services.
