Apply for an electric van trial

Due to high demand, all available trial dates are now fully booked. We will not be considering new applications at this time.

In order to aid the uptake of electric vans, the Council is offering organisations in Sheffield the chance to trial a Nissan e-NV200 electric van for eight weeks.

The trial scheme is designed to help organisations decide if they want to invest in an electric van as their next vehicle.

We have now extended the trial for a further six months and are offering a fully insured van with a one-off admin fee of £200, to give even more businesses an opportunity to take part in the trial.

This scheme has been funded by National Highways (formally Highways England) Designated Fund for Air Quality and will run until January 2024.

Who can apply

The trials are aimed at organisations from the public, private and third sector based in Sheffield who are not already operating electric vans in their fleet.

If you don't currently meet the eligibility criteria for the scheme but think you would still benefit from the trial, please contact us.
