Sheffield’s current Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) was completed in July 2008.  It collates all known sources of flooding in the city and delineates areas that have ‘low’, ‘medium’ or ‘high’ probability of flooding.

These are shown on a series of maps covering the city.  It also recommends land uses for each area and appropriate mitigation measures as necessary.

Due to improved modelling work undertaken by the Environment Agency since the publication of the SFRA, some of the boundaries of the medium and high probability areas have changed, for example some areas have decreased or increased in flood risk probability.

View changes at the Environment Agency Flood Map for Planning (from Rivers and the Sea).  Please note the Environment Agency map and associated information is intended for guidance and cannot provide details for individual properties.

If your site falls in or close to a medium or high probability area, or you require flood probability information for an individual property, please contact us.
