There are various fitness classes taking part in parks across Sheffield. There are also free outdoor gyms across Sheffield in various parks and green spaces.

Parks Tennis

Tennis courts at 7 of Sheffield’s parks have been refurbished and can now be booked online, through our new partnership with Parks Tennis. Find our new-look courts at:

You can book online to reserve courts in advance; enjoy tennis coaching for juniors and adults, and join a local tennis league, where people are paired up for friendly matches in the park.

Rivelin Valley Water Play

Rivelin Valley Water Play is just off Rivelin Valley Road. You’ll find a variety of easily operated interactive water play equipment, such as jets, sprinklers, bucket drops and water tables.

Open 11am to 5pm, 7 days a week from Monday 17 July – Sunday 3 September.  When the gate is locked this facility is closed. A small car park is located adjacent to the pond, off Rivelin Valley Road.

Where fishing is not allowed

Fishing is not permitted at any other pond or lake we manage, including the Local Nature Reserve in Shire Brook Valley.
