The leave year runs from 1 April to 31 March each year. If you are a full time employee, your annual leave entitlement is 25 days increasing to 30 days after 5 years’ continuous local government or related service. Where you reach 5 years' service part way through the leave year, you will get a proportion of the extra holiday. In addition you will receive public holidays.

Sheffield City Council have teamed up with Westfield Health Scheme to offer you a reduced rate for private health cover. Westfield Health provide an allowance towards the cost of your dental and optical treatment, physiotherapy, chiropractic treatment and various othher treatments.
Sheffield City Council offer discounted classes for all abilities before, during and after work. These are held at the health and wellbeing space in the Moorfoot building and some of the classes you can take part in include yoga, circuits and group cycling.
