We have an exciting opportunity to join Family, Adult and Community Education Service (FACES) as an adult tutor.   This is an exciting time for the service as we work with partners across the region to deliver the Adult Education Budget as part of the Sheffield City Region devolution deal.

You will help learners to overcome barriers to learning, encourage their progression from a basic level leading to achievement of a qualification. You will also work with other tutors across different curriculum to embed knowledge and skills that will support life in the 21st Century, as well as to develop key employability skills.

We are looking for an innovative, self-motivated individuals who can inspire and encourage adult learners to engage in learning, develop confidence, and ultimately to feel supported in their journey to achieve accredited qualifications in a community setting in and around Sheffield.

Candidates will have an adult teaching qualification, a specialism to teach Adult Maths, Adult English, Essential Digital Skills, or you may have a vocational skill that will help an individual gain the necessary skills to enhance their career opportunities.

You will be able to develop a range of online learning approaches using learner friendly platforms such as Google Classroom and Zoom, as well as working across different sites across Sheffield.  An ability to demonstrate an excellent track record of high teaching standards is essential and delivery in a community environment would be an advantage.
