We are looking to recruit to 2 temporary, full-time Rehousing Specialist posts across various parts of the Rehousing service.

As a Rehousing Specialist you will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality service which supports customers through the rehousing process.

We are looking for applicants with a positive approach, can do attitude and can provide a high quality, continually improving and customer driven service.

The Rehousing Specialist contributes to the delivery of support and advice on rehousing issues, choice-based lettings and alternative housing options and availability. Ensures compliance with agreed rehousing and lettings procedures and practice and coordinate’s services which help deliver effective and positive outcomes which contribute to sustainable neighbourhoods and supports social inclusion.

You will need to have or quickly gain a strong understanding of Rehousing Allocations Policy and procedures to enable you to make decisions on complex cases and reviews. You will be part of a very busy operational service and will be required to work flexibly to accommodate the requirements of the service which will include, on a rota basis, late evening cover.  You will need to work to tight deadlines demonstrating a high degree of accuracy and have the ability to produce, analyse and report on data and statistics when required.  

The posts also involve multi agency working with other teams within the Council or other agencies to support vulnerable customers.
