About Us

The aim of the team is to provide early intervention to children with special educational needs and/ or disabilities (SEND) ensuring that children, young people, their families and carers are assessed and that plans are put in place to enable them to access appropriate services and maximize their own independence.

The Role

We are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated individual who will seek to develop and deliver services for children with SEND and their families. Working closely with parents, education providers and other services across Education, Health and Care to ensure effective assessment and reviews are in place to meet a child and their family’s needs is an important part of this role.

About You

You will excel in this supportive team if you are an innovative and collaborative team-player with outstanding communication skills. You will have experience of direct work with children in a relevant early intervention setting undertaking assessments and developing and delivering packages of support to meet assessed unmet need.  It would be an added bonus if you have experience of direct work with children with SEND and their families and have worked within the current legislative framework.

We are committed to fairness and social justice and welcome applications from everyone. We value our diverse workforce and aim to work together to make the most of our differences. Under the Disability Confident Scheme, disabled applicants, who meet the essential criteria of this job, are guaranteed an interview.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment.  Any successful candidate will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
